The Food Foundation: The Broken Plate 2025

The Food Foundation’s Broken Plate report looks at the trends impacting the UK’s food system and the actions needed from policymakers in order to ensure everyone can afford healthy and sustainable food. This year’s publication highlights that too many people in the UK lack the financial means to access decent food and that much of the food readily available and marketed to us is damaging our health and the planet. Using 13 key metrics, the report provides a snapshot of the current food environment and offers solutions to improve the food system for everyone’s benefit.
