IDDRI: An agro-ecological Europe by 2050 – what impact on land use, trade and global food security?

This report presents an analysis of the implications of an ambitious agro-ecological transition across Europe, following the Ten Years for Agro-ecology (TYFA) scenario that IDDRI published in 2018. The analysis uses a world biomass balance model (GlobAgri-AgT) to examine the impact of the TYFA scenario in the EU on world land use, trade balance, available calories and global food security.
